TREK HIKE IN THE TUNISIAN DESERT 5 DAYS

Day 1: Douz, the Gateway to the Desert

​

At sunrise, 6:30 AM, depart from Djerba, Zarzis, Gabès, or Tozeur to reach Douz.

 

There, in Douz, the real journey begins with the start of the trek towards Bir Karate, where your first meal in the desert awaits you at Benweya.

 

In the evening, you will set up camp in the dunes of Elwat Hlel, enjoying a dinner and an evening by the fire.

 

Day 2: Elwat Hlel to El Eguetaya

After breakfast, embark on a unique hike through the desert.

 

You will have lunch at El Ajmeni before setting up the bivouac for the night at El Eguetaya, under a sky filled with stars.

 

Days 3 and 4: Exploration of the White Dunes

The following days will lead you through the stunning white dunes towards Bir Chareff and Lehtib, offering total immersion in the majesty of the desert.

 

Evenings will be marked by dinners and gatherings around the fire, with nights spent in private tents at Lehtib, allowing for true disconnection and

immersion in the tranquility of the desert.

 

Day 5: Return to Civilization

 

On the last day, you will resume your trek towards Douz, with a well-deserved lunch break at Thraa Ben Azouza before finishing your adventure in the mid-afternoon.

 

A transfer will take you back to your accommodation or the airport, with your mind and heart filled with unforgettable memories.
