SAHARIAN NEW YEAR PROGRAM - THREE-DAY TOUR FROM TOZEUR TO KSAR GHILANE
Day 1, December 30: Tozeur > Douz > Tembaine
Departure is from your place of stay in Tozeur, in the direction of Douz.
After lunch in a local restaurant in Douz, you will set off in a 4X4 across the track and dunes to the mountain from Tembaine, where your camp is located.
Enjoy your free time before dinner and spend the night in a private tent, surrounded by the vastness of the desert.
Day 2, December 31: Tembaine > Ksar Ghilane > Camp
We take the road to the oasis of Ksar Ghilane, where lunch awaits you in a restaurant located at the foot of the dunes.
Then, you can visit the oasis, bathe in the hot water spring at 32° (optional), take a quad ride (30€/h) or a camel ride (15€/h, payable on site).
You will then continue your journey in 4X4 towards a comfortable Saharan camp. In the evening, after sunset,
you will see the demonstration of baking bread in the sand, followed by a festive dinner for New Year's Eve.
Then you will spend the night in a private tent in the desert.
Day 3, January 1: Ksar Ghilane > Matmata > Tozeur
After breakfast at the camp and a moment of relaxation in the desert, we leave for Matmata to visit the troglodyte houses.
Lunch will take place at the locals' home in Tamezret after visiting Matmata and the troglodyte houses.
Finally, we will return to Tozeur via Chott El Jerid, where you will be dropped off at your place of stay.
New Year's Eve Program:

The tour is done in 4X4.
Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.
This tour is not open to people with reduced mobility.
No telephone network in the desert.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SAHARIAN NEW YEAR THREE DAYS FROM TOZEUR TO TEMBAINE AND KSAR GHILANE
Day 1 (December 30): From Tozeur to Tembaine Mountain
Your journey will begin in Tozeur, before heading towards the Saharan town of Douz.
After enjoying a traditional lunch at a local restaurant in Douz, you will set off on an exciting 4X4 ride, winding through sandy tracks up to Tembaine Mountain.
When you arrive at the camp, you will enjoy a moment of relaxation before enjoying a dinner under the stars.
Your night will be spent in the privacy and calm of a private tent in the heart of the desert.
Day 2 (December 31): New Year celebration between Ksar Ghilane and the Saharan Camp
In the morning, you will set sail for the enchanting oasis of Ksar Ghilane.
Lunch will await you in the picturesque setting of a restaurant, at the foot of the dunes.
After the meal, you will have time to discover the oasis, immerse yourself in the warm waters of the spring or choose a dynamic quad ride or a peaceful camel ride.
In the evening, you will join our Saharan camp where you will watch a traditional bread baking demonstration in the sand, followed by a festive dinner to celebrate New Year's Eve.
At night or in the morning, you will find the comfort of your private tent in the desert.
Day 3 (January 1): Return to Tozeur via Matmata and Tamezret
The last day will begin with an invigorating breakfast at the camp, followed by some relaxation in the desert.
You will then head to Matmata for a captivating tour of the cave houses.
Lunch will be a unique opportunity to share a meal with a local in Tamezret.
At the end of the afternoon, you will take the road towards Tozeur, crossing the Chott El Jerid, to take you back to your place of stay.

Concerning the equipment, you must bring a bag (it is better for the sand).

Your change for the duration of the circuit, a flashlight or headlamp, as well as towels (not provided at the Saharan camp).

For the evening, bring warm clothes as it can be very cold in winter.

If you are cold, for the camp we recommend sports tracksuits for sleeping and if you need to go out at night.

Blankets, pillows and sheets are provided at the camps.
