Your journey starts in Djerba, heading inland to Tataouine. There, explore ancient ksour like Ouled Soltane — fortresses steeped in Berber history.
After a scenic visit to Chenini, enjoy a local lunch in Guermassa before heading toward the desert.
At Ksar Ghilane, a remote oasis fringed by ochre dunes, take a dip in the hot spring, try optional quad biking or a camel ride, then follow the tracks into the Sahara to reach your desert camp.
Enjoy a traditional dinner, experience the making of sand-baked bread, and spend the night in a private tent — surrounded by silence and stars.
The next day, continue to Matmata via Tamezret’s rugged hills.
After lunch with locals, explore a troglodyte home before returning to Djerba, with unforgettable memories in your backpack.

Take away:
Concerning the equipment, you must include in a bag (this is better for sand):

A flashlight or headlamp, as well as towels (not provided at the Saharan camp).

For the evening, in winter, bring warm clothes as it can be very cold at this time of year.

If you are cold, for the camp we recommend sports tracksuits for sleeping and if you need to go out at night.

Fantastic two days desert tour
Thanks for the fantastic two days desert tour with a night in beautiful Campement Zmela! We, a family of five, had a fantastic time! Our adorable guide Dalel showed us all the highlights of the region. Very competent, funny and so sweet. Our driver Salim is the king of the desert roads and drove us around safely. A night under stars
An amazing experience! A night under stars. Our guide Yosr and driver Anwar were bery patient and helpful throughout. On the way to Sahara we visited Tatouine, Matmata, Chenini. The food served was delicious. The only thing as we visited in December so the temperature in the desert was belo zero in the night. I would surely recommend this experience.

We did the two day tour leaving from Djerba staying in the night camp Sahara desert. Our tour guy, Lassad was amazing. We added the two hours quad dunes riding.
Highly highly recommended. We had an amazing time.
