FROM ZARZIS DAY TOUR TO GABÈS AND MATMATA

Gabès is located on the Mediterranean coast, at the bottom of the Gulf of Gabès to which it also gives its name, the city is 400 kilometers from Tunis, 125 kilometers from Tataouine and 100 kilometers from Zarzis.

Your day tour to Gabès will allow you to discover the most important maritime oasis in the world, in fact Gabès is the only city with a port and a palm grove of more than 300,000 palm trees.

Before arriving in Gabès, you will visit the military museum of the Mareth line, famous during the Second World War, opposite Rommel.

Then you will visit the palm grove and its many oases, you will have lunch at the restaurant, before leaving to visit Matmata and the troglodyte houses.

To finish, we will head back and drop you off at your place of stay around 5:30 p.m.

Pick-up at 7:30 a.m. in front of your place of stay at Zarzis.

Departure for Gabès (Zarzis > Gabès, 140 km - 1h45).

Photo stop on the road.

Visit to the military museum of Mareth, (Second World War).

Gabès, visit to the Chenini Nahal oasis.

Lunch at the restaurant on the port.

Departure for Matmata: (Gabès > Matmata, 40 km, 0h45).

Visit to Matmata and the troglodyte houses.

Visit of Toujane (27 km. 34 min).

Return and drop-off around 5:30 p.m. in front of your place of stay. (Ksar Médenine > Zarzis, 70 km, 1 hour).

Transportation is either by 4x4 or minibus depending on the number of participants.

Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.
