The Ksar Ghilane oasis located 3 hours drive from Zarzis, is the southernmost oasis of Tunisia, on the edge of the Tunisian Sahara desert.

Prepare yourself from Zarzis for an exceptional desert adventure in Ksar Ghilane.

This unique experience, this camel ride, will allow you to connect withnature and discover the splendor of the desert as well as the traditional way of life of local communities.

During this 3-hour camel ride, complete with lunch in the heart of the desert dunes, you will have the opportunity to experience an extraordinary adventure.

Let yourself be transported by the majesty of the desert landscape and soak up the fullness felt in the silence of the desert.

Information:
Transportation is either by 4x4 or minibus depending on the number of participants.

Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.

This excursion is not open to people with reduced mobility.

PROGRAM OF THE CAMEL RIDE IN KSAR GHILANE FROM ZARZIS

Pick-up at 6:30 a.m. in front of your place of stay and departure for Ksar Ghilane.
Arrival at Ksar Ghilane around 10 a.m.
After a coffee break, you will meet your camel drivers and their dromedaries.
Then, it's time for Méharée, 3 hours immersed in the desert on the back of a camel.
Lunch, the camel driver will prepare you a traditional Tunisian meal in the desert:

Tunisian salad.

Grills.

Bread baked in the sand.

Return to Ksar Ghilane, possibility of bathing in the hot water spring at 32°.
In the middle of the afternoon, we will leave Ksar Ghilane for the return journey.
Return and drop-off around 5:30 p.m. in front of your place of stay.

Do not forget:

Solar cream.
Hat or cap.
Scarf or scarf.
Pair of sunglasses.
A gourd.
A small backpack
Camera.
Some cash for your personal expenses.
Swimwear and bath towel if you want to bathe in the hot spring.

Our prices are incl. VAT and in €, they decrease depending on the number of participants:

For private day trips, reductions for children under 11 only apply to groups of 4 or more paying adults.

From Zarzis, take an adventure into the Tunisian desert at Ksar Ghilane, a Bedouin camel experience in the Sahara.

Your camel trip in the desert is a unique opportunity to discover the local culture and experience an extraordinary adventure.

Departure is early in the morning at 6:30 a.m. from your place of stay, heading to the oasis of Ksar Ghilane.

On site, your camel drivers will be waiting for you with everything you need to prepare an authentic lunchin the middle of the desert.

After an introduction to driving camels, you will leave for Méharée for three hours of discovery through the ocher dunes of the desert, in the soothing silence of the Sahara.

Halfway, you will take a break for a traditional lunch, prepared by your camel drivers, in the heart of the dunes.
A special moment to savor the tranquility and natural beauty of the desert.

In the middle of the afternoon, after this day full of emotions and discoveries, you will return to Ksar Ghilane, to join your vehicle to take you back to your place of stay.
