TRIP PROGRAM

Day 1: From the Magnificence of El Jem to Kairouan

07:30 - Pickup from your accommodation.
Departure for El Jem (350 km, 3h40).
Lunch at a restaurant.
Visit the amphitheater of El Jem, the largest Roman amphitheater in Africa.
Visit the El Jem Museum.
Travel to Kairouan (72 km, 1h15).
Visit the Great Mosque of Kairouan, the largest mosque in Tunisia.
Visit the Aghlabid Basins, water reservoirs dating from the 9th century.
Dinner and overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kairouan.

Day 2: Kairouan, Haidara, and the Jugurtha Table

Visit the Sidi Sahbi Mausoleum, a mausoleum dating from the 10th century.
Early morning departure for Haidara (200 km, 3h10).
Visit the Haidara site.
Lunch at a restaurant.
Visit the Jugurtha Table (30 km, 45 min).
Dinner and overnight in El Kef (72 km, 1h10).

Day 3: El Kef, Bulla Regia, and Dougga

Travel to Tunis (65 km, 1h).
Visit the archaeological site of Carthage, an ancient Punic city.

Day 5: Tunis, Mornag, Kerkouane, and Kelibia

Visit the Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Travel to Mornag (20 km, 35 min).
Visit the vineyards of Mornag.
Travel to Kerkouane (100 km, 2h).
Visit the archaeological site of Kerkouane, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Travel to Kelibia (20 km, 24 min).
Visit the fort of Kelibia, a 16th-century fortress.
Travel to Hammamet (80 km, 1h30).
Visit the Medina of Hammamet, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Hammamet.

Day 6: From Hammamet to Monastir via Sousse

Departure from Hammamet to Sousse (1h10, 100 km).
Visit the Archaeological Museum of Sousse, which houses a collection of Roman and Byzantine objects.
Visit the Ribat of Sousse, an 8th-century fortress.
Visit the Medina of Sousse, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Travel to Monastir (30 min, 25 km).
Visit the Ribat of Monastir, an 8th-century fortress.
Lunch at a restaurant.
Return and drop-off at your accommodation (410km, 4h30).

Our “ Tunisian Heritage ” tour is an invitation to explore the very essence of Tunisia, starting from the South to go back in time through centuries of history.
This six-day trip is designed for history buffs and adventurous souls eager to delve into Tunisia's rich cultural heritage.

Day 1 begins with a spectacular exploration of the ancient Roman city of El Jem, home to Africa's largest amphitheater, followed by an immersion in spirituality at Kairouan, where the Grand Mosque and Aghlabid pools offer a glimpse of Islamic architecture and engineering.

Day 2 takes you to discover the Sidi Sahbi mausoleum and the Jugurtha Tables, an impressive natural site, before resting in El Kef, a town rich in history and tradition.

Day 3 is devoted to exploring the kasbah of El Kef, the Water Temple and the ancient city of Bulla Regia, famous for its unique underground houses, then Dougga, a UNESCO archaeological site which bears witness to the greatness of the Roman Empire.

Day 4 introduces you to Thuborbo Majus and its ancient temples, before concluding in Tunis, with a visit to Carthage and the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said, offering a magnificent view of the Mediterranean.

Day 5 is a day dedicated to history and viticulture, with a visit to the medina of Tunis, followed by a tasting in the vineyards of Mornag, then an exploration of Kerkouane and the Kélibia fort.

Day 6 ends this journey in Sousse and Monastir, where museums, ribats and medinas offer a last look at the cultural and historical richness of Tunisia, before returning to your starting point.
