This three-day tour takes you to the heart of the Tunisian desert, for a unique 4x4 experience through breathtaking landscapes.

From your arrival in Douz to the exploration of the dunes and the Tembaine Plateau, each day is an adventure that combines the beauty of the desert with the comfort of a Saharan camp.

With nights under the stars, campfire vigils and outdoor meals, this trip promises not only an escape from everyday life but also a deep immersion in the splendor of the Sahara.

Available from October to April, this tour is an invitation to discover the natural wonders and tranquility of the desert.

The best time to visit the desert is from October to April, the rest of the year it is really hot and the slopes are closed.

Information:

The tour is done in a private 4WD car.

Our vehicles can be equipped with baby seats on request.

No telephone network during your immersion in the desert.

This tour is not open to people with reduced mobility.

TOUR PROGRAM - 3 DAYS IN THE TUNISIAN DESERT IN 4WD CAR

Day 1

Pickup at 6:30 AM from your accommodation in Djerba or at the airport.

Transfer by 4x4 to Douz.

Lunch at a restaurant in Douz.

Departure in a 4x4, taking the track around Jbil National Park towards the Tembaine mountain plateau (95 km).

Arrival at the Saharan camp in the Grand Erg Oriental in the late afternoon.

Setup, free time, dinner, evening gathering around the fire, and overnight stay in a comfortable private tent.

Day 2

Breakfast, free time in the desert.

Departure by 4x4 to explore the surroundings and cross the immense sand dunes.

Lunch in the form of a picnic in the desert.

Return to the camp, free time.

Dinner, evening gathering around the fire, and overnight stay in a comfortable private tent.

Day 3

Quiet breakfast in the desert.

Departure by 4x4 back to Douz (95 km).

Lunch on the way in the form of a picnic.

Transfer to Djerba and drop-off at your accommodation or the airport in the late afternoon.

Take away:

Concerning the equipment, you must bring a bag (it is better for the sand).

Your change for the duration of the circuit, a flashlight or headlamp, as well as towels (not provided at the Saharan camp).

For the evening, bring warm clothes as it can be very cold in winter.

If you are cold, for camping and bivouac we recommend sports tracksuits for sleeping and if you need to go out at night.

Blankets, pillows and sheets are provided at camp and in bivouac.
